Field Target Match Report for 1-30-2016

We had 10 shooters show up today for a great match. This included 2 completely new shooters. We were blessed with a beautiful day, sunshine shine and almost perfect temperatures to shoot a match. The temperature started out a little cooler in the early morning but warmed up very nicely to around 68 degrees. A few times the wind picked up but mainly very little wind. I can only pray for a day like this, for the Cajun Classic match in March.

This is the 3rd course that I have set up. I had originally planned to have 2 offhand standing lanes, but some how during the set up, a couple of the targets got switched and were put on opposite lanes. I just left the 2 targets like there were and did away with the standing part for that lane. I have set the courses up using smaller kill zones farther out in preparation for the annual Cajun Classic match.  I want to thank everyone for the extra help in setting up and the taking down of the targets.

If you have not been to one of the Cajun Classic matches, then you are missing a great match, great food and fellowship. This year is coming together very nicely. Paul is putting a lot of time, effort and planning into the lay out of the lanes. I plan on cooking a chicken and sausage gumbo for Saturday’s lunch again this year. If you were here last year, you know how everyone enjoyed the food.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the Cajun Classic match in March. The dates are March 11,12, 13, 2016.

We had 7 shooters for hunter class, 1 for piston hunter class, 1 for open class and 1 shooter shooting WFTF class.
